Frenchman's Creek Country Club
Located in northern Palm Beach County, Frenchman's Creek is considered an upscale 36-hole private golf community. Gardner Dickinson, a local PGA tour player, designed the courses which were built in the early 1970's.

In the 1970's Frenchman's Creek was the home course of Jack Nicklaus, Toney Penna and Gardner Dickinson.

Both courses were carved out of the Florida slash pines and have a natural feel as each hole is tree lined and very traditional in it's design. Frenchman's Creek is often compared to a North Carolina style course. The many lakes and creeks have been utilized to create beauty as well as difficulty for many shots, however, unlike many Florida golf courses, water is not in play on every hole.

Frenchman's Creek also offers 17 beautifully maintained and landscaped tennis courts. Nine of the courses are lighted for night play. The most impressive is the stadium court with a 350 seating capacity.

Jonathan's Landing
Jonathan's Landing offers three chanpionship golf courses, a full service deep water protected marina, a tennis center and two beautiful newly renovated clubhouses.

The first course to open at Jonathan's Landing is sometimes called the "In Town" course by designer Tom Fazio. This course is located among homes, lakes and waterways. It is probably the only course in the country with a ferryboat. The ferryboat accommodates two golf carts and is used to cross a salt water boating channel leading to the Intracoastal Waterway. The "In Town" course is the most used at Jonathan's Landing and may be the most difficult with its small, fast greens.

Nearby, at Jonathan's Landing Old Trail, is a second course by Tom Fazio and another course by Arthur Hills.

Tom Fazio's course has been described as spectacular. Innovative. Fazio's best. Each fairway meanders around shimmering lakes, serene wetlands and towering pines. Dramatic contouring adds to the incredible variety of play that is a Fazio tradition. And just one solitary road separates the front nine from the back. So only nature's pristine beauty might distract you from your game.

Arthur Hills' course is the perfect balance with the Fazio courses. Hills has designed a course truly worthy of such a magnificent setting, with even the short holes providing a stimulating challenge. The natural beauty of the cypress hammocks and towering stands of pine remain unblemished. What's more, neither roads nor residential development are within the course, a feature offered by few, if any, other South Florida courses.

The tennis program at Jonathan's Landing is active at all levels from beginner through advanced player with over 250 active members.

The tennis facilities rank among the finest in South Florida and include 10 Har-Tru courts and a well stocked pro shop. The tennis program includes clinics, individual lessons, mixers and tournaments in singles, mens', womens' and mixed doubles as well as interclub competition with 12 other area clubs.

The On-Site Marina features a storm protected harbor, gated and patrolled security, wet slips for vessels to 100 feet, dry storage for boats to 40 feet, ships/sundry store, heated swimming pool and the Marina Club Cafe.

Old Marsh Golf Club
Those who prefer golf clubs to country clubs will adore Old Marsh. Open since 1987, the club spreads over 456 acres and will have one of the lowest housing densities of any development in Palm Beach County with only 213 single family homes. The club's membership is limited to 300.

If the sight of a player and a caddie ambling down a fairway ever beomes just a memory, it won't be the fault of Old Marsh Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens. Old Marsh is a purist's club. There are no tee times, no men's days, no opening day.

For Old Marsh, Pete Dye was able to build what amounts to an island of golf in the middle of one of the most environmentally sensitive sites in Florida. Dye successfully integrated a championship golf course into sensitive wet prairie environment, habitat for the waving sawgrass, tiny fish and crabs and scores of magnificent but threatened wading birds.

Unusually large homesites preserve the very nature of Old Marsh. The rare cypress hammocks, quaint footbridges, tropical foliage and the abundant great white egrets and sandhill cranes are indicative of the casually elegant lifestyle awaiting residents of Old Marsh.
